This is especially useful these days, as the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) taxes on imported smartphones have become very high, and getting PTA approval has become extremely difficult for most people.
FBR’s taxes on flagship phones now cost well over Rs. 150,000, which is extremely high, and many people buy these smartphones after saving for a long time, making paying nearly 50% of the phone’s cost for PTA Approval extremely difficult for these people.
As a result, many people continue to use their phones without having them PTA approved, and they work around the problem by keeping a cheaper second device, such as the Jazz Digit, for their SIM card and data usage.

Bank Alfalah’s Alfa Mall has introduced an incredible installment plan for PTA Approval of flagship devices, which may encourage more people to complete the process. However, the PTA Approval installment plan is only available on certain smartphones.
According to the bank’s official website, you can currently get PTA Approved smartphones for the iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, and iPhone 14 series. However, more devices are likely to be added to this list in the near future.

- Enter IMEI No’s given on the Phone box
- Select desired installment plan
- Complete transaction
- After completing transaction your request for PTA will be generated
- TAT of 5 – 7 working days would be required to complete the PTA approval process
- Once PTA approval is completed, you will get the confirmation call from AlfaMall’s merchant
- If you do not receive confirmation call within 7 working days, you can also verify the PTA approval status by entering phone’s IMEI number on PTA’s official website

iPhone 14
You can get your iPhone 14 PTA Approved on an easy 3 or 6 month installment plan with no markup (interest-free) by visiting Alfa Mall’s website and providing the information outlined above.
The installment plan for iPhone 14 PTA Approval will cost Rs. 190,000 in total, payable in three or six installments. Meanwhile, on 9 and 12 month installments, a processing fee of 2.5% or PKR 875 + FED (whichever is greater) will be charged, and on 18 month installments, a processing fee of 5% will be charged.
iPhone 13
You can also get your iPhone 13 PTA approved on an easy installment plan for as little as Rs. 165,000 with no markup (interest-free) over three or six months. To use the service, you must first go to Alfa Mall’s website.
iPhone 12
Finally, PTA approval for the iPhone 12 is available on an easy installment plan for Rs. 150,000 over 3 or 6 months with no additional markup or interest. To obtain the service, go to the product page on Alfa Mall’s website.
