People have been moving to the UAE in increasing numbers over the past few years in search of jobs that interest them. Without a doubt, the UAE leads the way in luring job seekers from around the globe.
To help employees in the event that they lose their jobs and are unable to pay their living expenses, an unemployment insurance program has recently been introduced, if we talk about the UAE. Use this insurance coverage in the UAE, but don’t go overboard.
AED 60,000 ($16,340) in financial assistance will be given under this program to qualified workers who experienced a job loss for a period of up to three months.
All permanent employees, with the exception of those on temporary contracts, domestic helpers, vendors, and investors, are required to participate in this program.
All employees are urged to take the steps outlined above before July 1, 2023, when the unemployed insurance plan is anticipated to begin.
- Visit the Insurance Pool website.
- Select “Subscribe here” from the menu.
- Select the industry you are currently employed in after arriving at the registration page.
- Enter your personal information and contact information, and have the sent code verify them.
- Choose the frequency of payments you prefer (monthly, quarterly, semiannually, or annually).
- Include a working email address.
- Last, but not least, proceed to the payment gateway to finish the registration process.
The unemployment insurance program is divided into A and B categories because it covers both the public and private sectors.
Category A Eligibility Criteria:
- Individuals whose base pay is AED 16,000 or less
- For those who fall into this category, a monthly premium payment of AED 5 is required. They are also given a set limit of AED 30,000 with the same amount of premium.
- They will receive AED 10,000 per month for three months if they lose their jobs.
Category B Eligibility Criteria:
- Here come the employees making over AED 16,000 in base pay.
- Their monthly premium would be AED 10, with a cap of AED 60,000.
- An amount of AED 20,000 would be provided for three months as assistance in the event of job loss.
We are happy that the UAE has been introducing some really good services that people can easily access. In order to be in a better position in terms of development, a country must introduce some services that can ensure their sustainability among other countries in the world.
