Government has set up Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund 2022 earlier this month, to increase the ongoing financial assistance efforts for the victims of devastating floods.
The fund is managed by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), and its finances are kept up to date by the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR).
All commercial and microfinance banks, including the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), have established accounts at their locations around the nation to accept donations made in cash, checks, pay orders, and demand draughts.

Domestic Donors
Cash Deposit
People can contribute cash to the fund by going to the bank branch that is closest to them. Every day, the banks transfer the total amount of money received to the fund account at SBP.
Crossed Cheque Deposit
Crossed checks written in the name of the fund may be deposited by customers in the drop box of their local bank. Banks have ensured drop box facilities at their branches across the country. Every day, the banks deduct money from the customer’s account and transfer it to the fund account at SBP.
Alternate Channels
The Inter-Bank Fund Transfer Facility (IBFT)/Raast allows citizens to make contributions to the fund account through online banking, mobile banking, Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and mobile wallets.
Overseas Donors
Wire Transfers
Pakistanis living abroad can contribute to the fund via wire transfer to the account that their respective banks keep for it. They simply need to request that their banks debit their accounts and transfer a certain sum to the fund. These funds are transferred by the banks via the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system to the fund account at SBP.
Alternate Channels
Under the system for receiving home remittances, overseas Pakistanis can also give through Money Service Bureaus (MSBs), Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), and Exchange Houses (EHs). Additionally, the banks use the RTGS system to send these funds to the fund account at SPB.
Important Note: The account title for the fund is Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund Account 2022. However, donors are required to obtain the Account Number and IBAN from their respective banks before donating to the fund.
