Maya Jama, the host of the ITV programme LOVE Island, is entering the beverages industry in an effort to capitalise on her success there.
The former Radio 1 DJ is getting ready to introduce her own line of nonalcoholic drinks.
Maya, 28, is naming the range Cling Cling after her slogan, “Cling Cling muthaf***ers,” which has become popular among her followers.
According to a source, Maya is getting ready to release a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, hopefully in time for the summer.
“She is a clever businesswoman as well as a great TV presenter.
“Maya’s soaring popularity is great for her brands and the booze-free drinks would be perfect.
“She has her hand in a lot of pies and is cleverly building up her empire.”
Maya, who has more than 2.5 million Instagram followers, has made money in the past by leveraging her catchphrase “Cling Cling” in the retail industry.
She introduced a variety of T-shirts and hoodies in 2019 with various designs of the slogan, and she brought them back the following year with proceeds going to Sisters Uncut and Black Lives Matter.
Along with her upcoming new drinks line, Maya has trademarked the term “tringe” for a variety of clip-on fringes.
She posted a photo on Instagram a few years ago showing off her own use of the beauty accessories.
Given the success of Maya’s cosmetic line of MIJ masks, which she introduced in 2020, the insider continued, “No one would be surprised if she put some money behind a new hair extensions line.”
Maya would take over for Laura Whitmore as the host of Love Island, it was exclusively revealed by The Sun in July of last year.
She opened the ITV2 and ITVX broadcast on Monday to a rousing reception from spectators who dubbed her the “ultimate bombshell.”
