On August 15, Jeff Burton, the presenter of The Rizzuto Show, passed suddenly at the age of 55. The radio personality was told he had prostate cancer in March 2021 and made the announcement live on air. The following weeks saw Burton start his chemotherapy treatment, and he continued to contribute to the show throughout.
Jeff Burton’s wife Juli announced on July 2 that he had been transported to Missouri Baptist to undergo two blood transfusions as well as a platelet transfusion. He was stabilised by medical professionals, but they projected that the cancer had spread throughout his body. After getting hospice care, he went home on Friday, July 8.
