Rapper Eazy-E, whose real name was Eric Lynn Wright, is an American.
He was a member of the group N.W.A. along with fellow legends Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, though he often performed alone.
Eazy-E was affectionately referred to as “The Godfather Of Gangsta Rap” and was born on September 7, 1964, in Compton, California.
Straight Outta Compton, N.W.A’s first studio album, was released in 1988 after the group teamed up with Ice and Dre.
It was divisive when it was released, but it is now considered one of the best and most significant albums ever.
Sadly, Eazy-E was admitted with a violent cough to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on February 24, 1995.
He received an HIV/AIDS diagnosis, and on March 16, 1995, he made a public announcement about his condition.
Eazy-E passed away on March 26, 1995, just 30 years old, from AIDS-related pneumonia, just over a month after receiving his diagnosis.
On April 7, 1995, he was laid to rest at Whittier, California’s Rose Hills Memorial Park.
His funeral was attended by more than 3,000 people, including DJ Yella and Ice Cube.
Eazy-E was buried in a gold coffin while wearing his Compton hat, a flannel shirt, and jeans.
Ten months after his passing on January 30, 1996, his last album, Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton, was made available.

Eazy-E and Tomica Woods wed on March 14, 1995, twelve days before Tomica Woods passed away. They had first met in a Los Angeles nightclub in 1991.
Along with his rap legacy, he is remembered for his 11 children, whom he fathered by eight different women.
He had a daughter named Daijah, who was born six months after his death, and a son named Dominick with his wife Tomica.
