According to a police complaint, this is the terrifying snarling mugshot of a man who reportedly drew a knife on policemen and threatened to murder them.
The growling mugshot has surprised many members of the neighbourhood. The crazy photograph was captured by booking police in Connecticut as he prepares to face a slew of accusations.
Raymond Lapinski, 29, of Hartford, Connecticut, was charged with various charges this month in connection with several confrontations with law enforcement officers in Greater Hartford.
The suspect’s mugshot, taken immediately after his arrest, shows him with his fangs bared and angry eyes.
When officers attempted to arrest Lapinski, he threatened to kill a state trooper and pulled out a knife, according to authorities.
They believe Lapinski had at least five violent encounters with cops in the Greater Hartford region in April.
Booking officials in Connecticut took the manic-looking photograph as he prepares to face a slew of accusations.
The latest series of incidents started late Monday morning, the Middletown Press reported.
Police told the paper that when Lapinski shouted at an on-duty state police sergeant asking are you a “cop” as he “kills cops.”
A spokesman for the CSP told news channel WFSB: “Using profane language, the male went on to threaten to kill the sergeant specifically.”
He was seen strolling in the street after a car pursuit and approached, at which time he is reported to have pulled out a knife.
“Officers sustained minor injuries during the struggle to secure Lapinski in the cruiser,” the CSP said to WFSB.
According to the police, three other cities have also accused him with threatening some of their cops.
He was charged with assault on a public safety officer, first-degree assault, interfering with an officer, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
