The Magic V2 book-style foldable smartphone and the Honor X50 smartphone are likely to go on sale soon from Honor. The respective Honor Magic V and Honor X40 phones are likely to be replaced by the respective phones. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a 4,750mAh battery that supported 66W Honor SuperCharge technology, the foldable Magic V was introduced in January 2022. The X40, on the other hand, was introduced in September 2022 and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset and a 5,100mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging. The release date and key details of the upcoming models of the aforementioned phones have now been leaked.
The Honor X50 model is anticipated to go on sale in China on July 5 and the Honor Magic V2 on July 12, according to a post by Tipper. The insider added that the Honor Magic V2 will probably be offered in two versions, one with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and the other with a 5G Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
A 108-megapixel primary rear camera sensor is also expected to be featured on the rumored Honor foldable in the form of a book. The phone’s LTPO display will probably be an improvement over its predecessor’s, with a refresh rate greater than 90Hz and higher frequency PWM dimming. The device will reportedly have a 5,000mAh battery and support 66W wired fast charging, just like the Honor Magic Vs, the leak claims.
Information about the upcoming Honor X50 model was also added by the leak. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, is expected to power the phone.
It is anticipated to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which is larger than the 6.67-inch panel of the X40 model before it. In addition, the Honor X50’s display is anticipated to have a higher resolution of 2400 x 1220 pixels than the X40’s 2400 x 1080 pixels display.
A 108-megapixel primary camera sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor are both anticipated for the Honor X50’s rear camera. There are rumors that the phone will have two front cameras. A 5,800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging is most likely included.
The insider also mentioned that Honor would probably release the MagicPad tablet toward the end of this year and the Magic 6 series of flagship smartphones during the first quarter of 2024.
