In Thailand, Honda has debuted a contemporary throwback scooter. The new scooter, Scoopy, puts a contemporary twist on the traditional Italian scooter style.
Scoopy faces up against the Yamaha Ego Gear, the WMoto ES125i, and the Benelli Panarea 125 in Thailand. The cost of the scooter ranges from 345,000 to 357,000 rupees.
Scoopy is a two-wheeler that is relatively pricey yet has several unique characteristics. It is propelled by a 109cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with 9.3 newton metres of torque and 9 horsepower. It has belt drive to the back wheel and a CVT transmission. Other characteristics are:
- Single-pot front disc brake
- Kick or electric start (depending on the variant)
- Suspension
- Telescopic forks on the front wheel
- Single-sided swingarm at the rear
Advertisement - LED projector headlight
- Smart key
- Under-seat storage
- Large storage compartment in the front cowl
- USB charge port
The scooter is for short journeys only as its fuel tank can only hold 4.2 liters of petrol. The scooter only weighs 95 KG, which will likely make it fuel-efficient and easily maneuverable.
The female population is often the target market for the mopeds. However, young guys also find Scoopy intriguing because of its sporty colour selections. It’s unfortunate that Pakistan might never see it.
