With the slogan “It’s time for an exciting new start,” Honda shared its second video teaser on social media, setting the stage for the impending release of the HR-V. You will soon be receiving the Honda HRV. Pay attention.
Although Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) hasn’t disclosed the precise launch date, rumours indicate that the business will introduce its new SUV soon. Several thousand people have watched the movie, with the majority expressing enthusiasm and anticipation for the new SUV.
Details
The HR-V is a small crossover SUV that will go up against models like the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, MG HS, and Haval Jolion. Two powerplant options will likely be available for the Pakistani-spec HR-V:
- A 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine with 119 horsepower (hp) and 145 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque
- A 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with 179 hp and 240 Nm of torque
Both engines use a CVT automatic transmission to drive only the front wheels. The cost of the HR-V test unit in June was Rs. 6.05 million. But with a significant local currency devaluation, the cost is probably going to be close to Rs. 7 million.
Launch Delay Reports
- US Dollar (USD) rate has reached an all-time high twice within two months.
- State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has sanctioned auto-sector imports, causing carmakers to observe production cuts.
- Government has announced tax rate hikes on various car segments.
- Car prices have shot up by up to 20 percent.
- Car sales have plummeted massively.
Most automakers have delayed the introduction of new cars as a result of these concerns. According to the insider, auto-sector activity won’t pick up until the current instability passes, which might not happen until Q2 of 2023.
It appears like HACL’s schedule for launching HR-V is accurate. However, let’s not hold our breath because a launch date has not yet been established.
