Honda Atlas Cars Friday made the decision to pass on the cost to its customers by boosting the price of its completely knocked down (CKD) models in response to an increase in sales tax.
According to a notification filed in this respect, the carmaker cited the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, the choppy business environment, and an increase in sales tax as the three main reasons behind its decision to raise the prices by up to Rs550,000.

Beginning on February 18 and continuing until the present, all new orders would be subject to the updated retail sale price (RSP).

It should be noted that all new orders placed beginning February 18 will be subject to the increased retail sale pricing, as well as any backorders that were already in place as of February 17.
In the meanwhile, in accordance with the terms of the price increase letter from February 6th, a 1% extra sales tax will be added to all back orders with full payment.
The company also stated that all pending backorders (apart from Civic) as of February 17, 2023, that are due until March 23, can be invoiced if full payment (price from February 6 plus an additional 1% sales tax) is deposited by February 27. (instrument date till February 27).
