A MAN has been charged with the murder of a lady who was discovered dead after officers looked for a missing person.
Nicholas Metson, 27, was arrested by Lincolnshire Police after concerns were raised about the welfare of 26-year-old Holly Bramley.
On Sunday, there were allegations of an incident at the Shuttleworth House high-rise flats in Lincoln, where Metson resides.
A search “related to the discovery of a body” was initiated and is still ongoing near the town of Bassingham, some 10 miles south of the city.
According to the force, residents will continue to observe an increase in police presence in the neighbourhood.
“Specially trained officers are assisting Holly’s family, and we continue to work diligently to investigate the circumstances of this incident,” Detective Chief Inspector Jennifer Lovatt said.
“Inquiries are still ongoing and we would urge anyone who has any information or footage to get in touch as even the smallest bit of information might prove vital to our investigation.”
The second person apprehended, a 27-year-old guy, remains in detention.
Metson is scheduled to appear before the Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court.
Police have requested residents in the Bassingham area to check dashcam, doorbell camera, and CCTV video from 12pm on Friday March 24 to 4pm on Sunday March 25 in case they caught anything noteworthy.
