Following a sharp depreciation of the local currency, Razi Motor Industries (PVT.) LTD. raised the cost of two of its motorcycles. Due to a “rapid deteriorating economic scenario,” the company said that it has ordered all dealerships to impose new prices on its products.
The import of completely knocked-down (CKD) kits has grown to be very expensive, which justifies a price increase, it continued. The following are the new prices, which take effect on February 1:
Models | Current Prices (Rs.) | New Prices (Rs.) | Increase (Rs.) |
Infinity SR 150 | 290,000 | 335,000 | 45,000 |
Freedom SR 200 | 340,000 | 395,000 | 55,000 |
Other than the Suzuki GS 150 and the Honda CB 150F, the Hi-Speed Infinity is one of the most well-liked 150cc motorcycles in Pakistan. It appeals to enthusiasts since it comes with a warranty from the factory, has a cafe racer appearance, and is reasonably priced.
Infinity remained a specialty item due to its lack of utility and constrained parts support. Unfortunately, a significant price increase may have caused that niche to contract even more.
Despite the price increase, it is yet less expensive than several 125cc bikes in Pakistan.
