Police said they have discovered a BODY that may belong to a lady Heddie Dawkins who has been missing for close to a week.
Police in High Point, North Carolina think Heddie Dawkins’ body may have been found near the 2300 block of Hickswood Road.
Dawkins, an 81-year-old woman with advanced dementia, vanished early on Wednesday six days ago.
High Point Police tweeted, “Foul play is not suspected.” “At this time, there is no other information to share.”
A search team looking for Dawkins over the weekend reportedly across a piece of fabric stuck in a fence close to the location where the missing woman was seen on doorbell camera footage.
Dawkins had been wearing something similar to this fabric when she vanished from her house.
The lab at the High Point Police Department has the cloth, but they are unable to determine whether it was a match.
More details concerning Dawkins’ disappearance have come to light as investigators and volunteers continue their search for the dementia patient.
Doorbell camera footage revealed that when Dawkins left her house at 1.30 am on Wednesday, she appeared to try to reenter.
Another doorbell camera had captured Dawkins, this time with blood over her face and head.
