The ongoing admissions procedure at Isra University has been suspended by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The change occurs a few days after the bail of senior Isra University executives in the case involving the bogus degrees was cancelled.
The HEC immediately halted admissions to all fields at Isra University for the autumn semester of 2022, according to the most recent warning.
Until the current issue is resolved, the decision will be in effect for all admissions, including those to medical schools, in Hyderabad’s main campus as well as in Karachi and Islamabad.
The HEC made this choice to safeguard the future of thousands of students and stop them from squandering their hard-earned money.
The HEC often advises students not to accept admittance offers from phoney or illegal universities. The HEC also regularly updates the list on its official website.
The watchdog should consider any university that is not on the list of HEC-recognized institutions to be phoney, illegitimate, and unrecognised.
