He Lifeng, vice premier of China, will travel to Pakistan on behalf of President Xi Jinping from July 30 to August 1, 2023. The fact that Islamabad extended an invitation for the visit shows how important the relationship between the two countries is.

Vice Premier He will take part in the historic celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) 10th anniversary during his visit. A key component of advancing economic cooperation between China and Pakistan and promoting growth and prosperity in the region has been the CPEC, a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the trip, the dignitary will have meetings with President Arif Alvi, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Vice Premier played a key role in the development and execution of numerous CPEC projects in Pakistan during his tenure as Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission from 2017 to 2023. His visit demonstrates the strong bond that exists between the two nations and their dedication to strengthening their strategic partnership.

The 10th-anniversary events will commemorate ten years of productive cooperation and joint initiatives in the fields of infrastructure, energy, and economic development that have had a significant positive impact on the lives of people in both countries. Vice Premier is the principal guest at this special event. His presence serves as a symbol of China and Pakistan’s friendship and shared values.

In order to give the high-level delegation complete security, it was previously reported that the local administration had asked the Interior Ministry to declare July 31 and August 1 as local holidays in Islamabad. The ministry is anticipated to make a formal announcement in this regard later today.
