A paraglider who recorded his final flight before falling to the ground had his last moments captured in horrifying images.
Prior to his January 25 crash, Reginaldo Aparecido de Franca was filming himself while flying over a park in Paulinia, Brazil.
When the fatal accident happened, the 39-year-old was practising paramotoring, also known as powered paragliding, which is similar to paragliding but has a motor attached to the pilot.
When he fell from the sky, he was flying above Parque Brasil 500, which is not far from Paulina City Hall and the Municipal Theater.
Reginaldo sustained many fractures and a heart attack as a result of being struck by the ground.
A cardiologist who was nearby and rushed over to him administered first aid.
The paraglider was then transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he tragically passed away due to his wounds.
Reginaldo was a resident of Campinas, a Brazilian municipality in So Paulo, and was born in Valinhos.
He had previously shared footage of himself paragliding on social media while working as a nursing technician.
He leaves a wife and two kids in his wake.
Police were called to examine the crash’s cause, which is currently under investigation.
Reginaldo apparently yelled for assistance while still in the air, which may indicate an equipment malfunction, according to witnesses who spoke to police.
