During the second game of the series in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan played out another gripping match that cricket fans around the world witnessed.
The exciting match featured many ups and downs for both teams, but in the end, the Men in Green prevailed by one wicket to win the three-match series.
Pakistan beat Afghanistan’s 301-run target with one ball remaining, thanks to game-winning performances from Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah. Afghanistan had set the goal.
The Green Shirts were 211 for six after 38 overs, but Naseem Shah was able to win the match in the final over thanks to Shadab’s crucial 48 runs off 35 balls.
With only a few balls left in the game, Hasan Ali correctly predicted that the national team would win.
The right-arm fast bowler posted on his Twitter account, “I can smell it will be an edge for 4 runs and we will win.”
When the national team needed three runs from two balls in the final over, Naseem Shah, who had scored 10 runs off of five balls, edged the ball to the short third man.
The Babar Azam-led team won by one wicket in an exciting match to take a commanding 2-0 series lead after the ball sped away for a boundary.
