A woman has spoken out about her experience with a male masseuse who she claims touched her inappropriately.
After a man she deemed “credible and skilled” allegedly touched her foot with a “male body part” while giving her a back rub at her Perth, Australia home, musician Hannah Stow vowed to only go to female massage therapists.
“I thought I’d treat myself, and hire someone to come to me. I went on Gumtree and found this man who had a degree and 15 years of experience,” she told news.com.au.
“At the time, I was quite young and I did not see anything wrong with this. He seemed credible and skilled.”
For the first 20 minutes of the massage, according to Hannah, everything went as planned after she made arrangements for the man to visit her home.
She “felt another body part” touch her foot, though, when the masseuse began massaging her calves with both hands.
She said she thought nothing of it at first, but when she felt the strange sensation for a second time she turned around and reportedly caught the man fiddling with his pants, seemingly putting “something back in” them.
“I froze, finished the massage, paid him and he left. I’ve always been someone that will shrug things off easily.”
Hannah, 28, said she was 21 when the alleged incident occurred and it has taken her a number of years to be able to process what happened.
In an effort to warn others, she now feels comfortable sharing what happened to her on social media.
She even shared the tale in two popular TikTok videos that amassed a combined total of over 665,000 views.
Even though Hannah can now laugh about the terrifying story, she claims that it has changed her. She says she no longer schedules massages at her home and instead prefers to go to parlours where she will only be massaged by other women.
“It was so creepy, and I definitely don’t recommend booking home massages,” she said.
