After video showing nursery staff torturing terrified children as a form of punishment surfaced, the childcare in America came under fire.
In an act that parents have called “hideous,” the video depicts multiple Lil’ Blessings Child Care & Learning Center employees attempting to frighten young children into behaving better.
The Sun says that footage from the Mississippi daycare centre featuring a worker intimidating a group of youngsters at a table was posted on Facebook and purportedly recorded by a worried coworker.
One of the workers can be heard encouraging the lady in the mask to ignore some of the toddlers who have “been good” and focus only on the “bad” ones.
As the masked woman makes her way around the centre, cursing and screaming at the kids, many of the terrified kids can be heard sobbing.
She asks a terrified child, “Are you being bad?,” in one instance while leaning over him, to which the child cries out, “No!” and shakes his head.
If the video is to be believed, the daycare provider keeps urging a second group of kids “to be ready” for several minutes.
Three frightened kids at one point even resorted to hiding behind a shelf while the woman pretended to rap on the door.
She enters the room and immediately starts chasing the children as they flee and scream in terror.
Before rushing off to another class, she tells the kids to “clean up,” even resorting to screaming.
A worried coworker posted the run of episodes, which looked to traumatise the majority of children, on Facebook on Thursday.
According to Jennifer Kayla Newman, she videotaped the upsetting moments to show her coworker’s conduct to the parents.
