
The government has added another 30 days, pushing the deadline for filing income tax returns to November 30, 2022.
Ishaq Dar, the federal minister of finance, made the announcement on Monday.
In order to address the large number of unresolved complaints, he continued, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) would also keep clearing Letter of Credits (LCs) up to $100,000 from tomorrow.
The deadline for filing income tax returns was previously October 31, 2022, but the government has repeatedly postponed that date over the past few months.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has completed resolving complaints and clearing LCs up to $50,000, the Finance Minister further stated.
He also disclosed that the government has decided to keep the nation’s petroleum product prices unchanged for the ensuing two weeks.
