The Finance Bill 2023-24, which is published with Daily Nation Pakistan, has disclosed that the federal government has suggested a 0% tax on the components of solar inverters.
The paper states that this tax only applies to solar inverter producers and assemblers who are registered under the Sales Tax Act of 1990.
Additionally, 0% tax has been proposed for a number of other items, such as control boards, power boards, charge controller boards for A/C and PV, DC boards, LCD displays, display boards, AC input and output terminals, battery input terminals, PV terminals, plastic and steel casings, inverter circuit boards, and stuffed PCBs.
