This year’s Google Pixel 8 series is rumored to launch in October. The new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro aren’t expected to be released for another few months, but they have been circulating in rumors for a while. Most recently, online leaks revealed the Pixel 8’s retail price and basic features. With the Pixel 8, Google is anticipated to release the newest Tensor G3 SoC. It might have a 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit and an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 8 is anticipated to have a 4,485mAh battery with support for 24W wired charging.
Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh), a tipster, tweeted the Google Pixel 8’s price and key details. The device will reportedly be released in early October and will cost between $649 and $699, according to the leak. This represents a significant price increase over the Pixel 7’s predecessor. The latter made its debut in October of last year for $599.
According to rumors, the Pixel 8 will use Android 14 and have a 6.17-inch full-HD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Tensor G3 SoC and 8GB of RAM may be used to power it. The new Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold are powered by the Tensor G3 SoC, which is an upgrade to the Tensor G2 SoC. It is rumored to have storage capacities of 128GB and 256GB.
The Pixel 8 is anticipated to have two rear cameras, one with a 50-megapixel primary Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and the other with a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor. There may also be an 11-megapixel front camera for selfies.
According to reports, the Pixel 8 has a 4,485mAh battery with support for 12W wireless charging and 24W wired charging. Additionally, it might have a fingerprint authentication ultrasonic sensor.
At the ‘Made By Google event in October of last year, the Pixel Watch and the Google Pixel 7 series made their debuts. Google is anticipated to soon announce the release of the newest Pixel series of smartphones. These specifics should be treated with caution until that time.
