Following two straight days of decline, the price of gold in Pakistan increased on Thursday, closing at Rs. 224,700 per tola.
The price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 2,600 per tola to Rs. 224,700, and the price of 10 grams increased by Rs. 2,230 to close at Rs. 192,644, according to information provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of the precious metal increased by Rs. 2,500 per tola at the start of the current week. But on Tuesday and Wednesday, the cost decreased by Rs. 800 per tola and Rs. 2,400 per tola, respectively.
With today’s increase, the price of gold has now increased by a total of Rs. 1,900 per tola over the past week.
By 1204 GMT, spot gold was up 0.3% to $1,977.19 per ounce on the global market, while US gold futures were up 0.4% to $1,977.70.
