On Monday, the price of gold in Pakistan rose by Rs. 1,600 per tola to reach Rs. 214,800.
The price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 1,600 per tola to Rs. 214,800, and the price of 10 grams increased by Rs. 1,371 to close at Rs. 184,156, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The cost of gold rose by Rs. 800 per tola on Monday of last week before dropping by Rs. 5,000 per tola over the following two days. On Thursday, the price of gold increased by Rs. 4,000 per tola, and on Friday, it increased by an additional Rs. 6,500 per tola. On Saturday, the cost decreased by Rs. 1,300 per tola. Over the course of the week, the price of the precious metal increased by Rs. 5,000 per tola.
At 1236 GMT, spot gold prices were essentially unchanged at $1,953.09 per ounce while US gold futures were down 0.4 percent at $1,956.60.
