One of the main issues for any nation is the issue of disposing of garbage, particularly plastic waste. The amount of garbage has grown significantly along with the rise in the consumption of goods packaged in plastic. But, there are individuals working around the clock to discover a solution to that issue, and one modest Pune-based chemical lab may have offered some hope.
Guess what material the product, a pair of sunglasses created by a firm called Ashaya, is composed of? chips in bags! You did read that correctly. Anish Malpani, one of the company’s founders, claimed in a Twitter post that the product was made from non-biodegradable plastic garbage. It is definitely a big thumbs up for the environment.
The post’s video clip demonstrates the steps used in manufacturing the sunglasses. You’ll feel really inspired after it. “This has been the hardest thing I have ever been a part of. Finally: Presenting the world’s first recycled sunglasses made from packets of chips, right here in India!” Check out the caption.

Moreover, Malpani gave some additional details in the tweets that came after. “We, at Ashaya | WITHOUT™, have found a way to extract materials from it using our patent-pending process to produce high-quality materials and products, starting with sunglasses (and coasters). We do all this while genuinely empowering waste-pickers. And a lot more.”

Awesome. God speed to you and team. I bought one though I wear powered glasses.
Btw, what would it cost to replicate/setup the patent pending recycling plant?
