Actress Mallika Sherawat discussed how she felt condemned for doing risky moments in her movies in an interview. She claimed that Indian men always adored her despite the fact that women were cruel to her for some reason. Presently, Mallika is promoting her forthcoming movie RK/Rkay, which will be released on July 22.
With Khwahish, Mallika made her Bollywood debut in 2003. Later, she appeared in the Mahesh Bhatt movie Murder. The movie, in which Emraan Hashmi also appeared, went on to become one of the year’s biggest hits. Her sex symbol status was established in both movies. In a previous interview, Mallika claimed that she had been “morally assassinated” because of her role in the film Murder.
In an interview with Mashable India, Mallika discussed how she faced criticism for acting in “radical situations” in India. I think my glitz was too much for them, she replied. I won’t apologise for it. Although other actors had worn bikinis before me in the movie Murder, I was so casual about it. I said, “I have a fantastic body.” Do you want me to dress traditionally at the shore? I won’t wear a bikini, but I did celebrate my body since doing so felt incredibly liberated to me. However, that was too much for individuals, particularly women. I’ve never had any issues with men. In India, men adore me, and I return the favour.
Rajat Kapoor, Kubra Sait, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachoor Rai, Abhijeet Deshpande, Abhishek Sharrma, Grace Girdhar, and Vaishali Malhara all have significant roles in Mallika’s next movie RK.
