A Young woman who had spent the night with family watching Britain’s Got Talent was discovered dead at the end of her mother’s bed.
Chloe Caton, a “bubbly” 21-year-old from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, has received tributes following her untimely death.
When Ami Caton passed away on June 1, she was staying with Chloe from nearby Kidsgrove and her mother.
According to Kelly Dickson, an assistant coroner for North Staffordshire, several drugs were discovered in her system, according to a report in the Stoke Sentinel.
“Chloe was 21 years old when she passed away,” she said.
Her mother was the one who made the identification.
“The hearing is now postponed pending the outcome of additional inquiries. The verdict hearing must be scheduled.
On June 28, attendees to Chloe’s funeral at Newcastle-under-Lyme’s Bradwell Crematorium were asked to dress in purple or lilac.
Ami, 41, praised Chloe as being “very bubbly” and “kind and caring” while also calling her daughter’s passing “heartbreaking”.
The night before she passed away, Chloe had been “belly-laughing” while watching Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn on the ITV talent competition Britain’s Got Talent.
She genuinely wanted Viggo Venn to triumph, Ami said. She cast her vote in his favor. She was not present when he won.
“We were all spending some time together while staying with the mother of my grandchildren.
“Chloe’s favorite dinner, roast chicken, was served to us. We all went to bed together.
It has been tragedy after tragedy, she said, adding that she was awakened the following morning to find Chloe dead at the foot of her bed.
“We still don’t know what killed the person.”
