Fasten your seatbelts for another hilarious trip on CBS’ supernatural comedy Ghosts, as the Arondekar family and their neighbourhood apparitions return for a second season full of frights and grins. Its first season, which was an adaptation of the British series of the same name, received eight million viewers, the second-highest number of any sitcom on the network. The programme was assured a second season by a resoundingly favourable reception from both the audience and the reviewers.
After it is revealed that the Arondekar family’s new home, which is home to all of their favourite ghosts, may be the target of an old Norse curse, viewers can’t wait to find out what happens next in the Arondekar family. Although Sam (played by Rose McIver) and Jay (played by Utkarsh Ambudkar) ultimately decided against lifting the curse in order to continue interacting with their spectral housemates and lay the groundwork for a second season, both the couple and the viewers are uncertain of what will happen next, foreshadowing a potential doom that could engulf the charming and unsettling accidental family.
The upcoming season will undoubtedly be much more dramatic while maintaining a fair dose of humour. Let’s look at all we currently know about Season 2 of the new CBS sitcom Ghosts if you’re eager to see what occurs next in the tale.
What is The Release Date of Ghosts Season?
After a successful Season 1, the BBC One adaptation received a second season back in January. Ghosts Season 2 will premiere in less than a month, and the network’s official Twitter account announced on June 23 that the horror comedy will return to its comedy lineup on Thursday, September 29, at a new 8:30 p.m. time period.

Is The Trailer Out For Ghosts Season 2?
Ghosts Season 2’s official teaser trailer, which debuted back in July, gives fans a preview of what’s to come. A quick flashback from Season 1 leads into the subsequent events, when Sam and Jay are still attempting to book guests into their new run-down home. After sustaining a recent head injury, Jay investigates the idea that he might see ghosts in addition to his wife, Sam. As they prepare to receive a second guest and an exciting second season, the ghosts and the couple are crossing their fingers.
Who Are Cast Members of Ghosts Season 2?
For Ghosts Season 2, the majority of the original actors from the first season will be back. The charming couple Samantha and Jay Arondekar, played by Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar, return as the show’s leads. Samantha is a free-lance journalist who experienced a near-death experience and has since acquired the power to see ghosts. Chef Jay, who is unemployed, makes every effort to support his wife. Trevor Lefkowitz (Asher Grodman), Pete Martino (Richie Moriarty), Susan Montero (Sheila Carrasco), Alberta Haynes (Danielle Pinnock), Captain Isaac Higgintoot (Brandon Scott Jones), Hetty Woodstone (Rebecca Wisocky), Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), and Thorfinn are among the ghosts Samantha can see at their new home (Devan Chandler Long). These ghosts were all former residents.
In comparison to the first season, the second of Ghosts will feature significantly more spectral beings. The B&B will be open in the new chapter, and the magical family will finally be hosting visitors, as Ambudkar and McIver said at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Additionally, eight unexpected newcomers will live there for the second season.
Rose Abdoo, a former cast member of Gilmore Girls, will be one of the guest stars in the second season of Ghosts. She won’t be portraying any of the brand-new ghosts, but rather a seasoned TV producer of a programme called Dumb Deaths. Her presentation will primarily be set up in the eerie mansion. Earlier this month, Abdoo revealed on Instagram that she had shot scenes for Ghosts’ second season.

Ghosts Season 2 Plot
After Season 1’s conclusion, the subsequent season will begin. After a disastrous attempt to bring in guests, which resulted in them falling through the floor weak from a termite infestation, the Arondekars are busy building up their bed and breakfast. After the occurrence, as hinted at in the teaser, Jay starts to question whether he shares the same skills as his wife. We shall meet new, both deceased and living, guest stars in Season 2, and we will learn the true effects of Thorfinn’s ancient Nordic curse on the inn.
Richie Moriarty, Sheila Carrasco, and Román Zaragoza, who play Pete, Susan Montero (Flower), and Sass respectively in season 2 of Ghosts, have hinted at what their characters will be up to next. The stars said that in the upcoming season, Pete would use his experience as a travel agent to assist Sam and Jay with the launch of their new bed and breakfast. After giving viewers a taste of her haughty side in the season 1 episode “Ghostwriter,” Susan (Flower) will start to exhibit it more. Sasappis’ passion for drama and reality TV will reach a pinnacle, which will be problematic for people around him. It will reportedly play into Sass’ character to have Rose Abdoo as a TV producer, and it will be entertaining to watch as he tries to get more engaged in the making of her show.
Where to Watch Ghosts Season 2?
Ghosts’ enormous popularity inspired CBS and Lionsgate to recently collaborate. As a result, starting in the autumn when the series returns to CBS, all of the hit comedy’s episodes, both old and new, will be included in its collection. On Thursday, September 29 at 8:30 p.m., Paramount+ will offer access to Ghosts Season 2. To watch all of the first season’s episodes again for a quick recap, you can also find them on CBS and Paramount+.
