In preparation for her partner Cristiano Ronaldo’s crucial World Cup game on Tuesday evening, GEORGINA RODRIGUEZ took a stroll in the desert.
The Portugal team, which includes 37-year-old Ronaldo, will play Switzerland in the round of 16 in Qatar.
Longtime Ronaldo girlfriend Georgina is currently in the Middle East assisting her partner.
But she went for a stroll in the desert to spend some peaceful time before the game on Tuesday.
Along with a love heart, she posted a variety of images to her social media accounts.
Ivana, Georgina’s sister, also uploaded a photo of her with the caption: “Desert of Qatar. fantastic experience What a wonderful time we had.
“I appreciate #qatar2022 for giving us these opportunities to be together. Sister, you are loved.”
There is no assurance, though, that Ronaldo will start for Portugal against Switzerland.
After pouting when he was replaced against South Korea, manager Fernando Santos was dissatisfied with the former Manchester United forward.
In the 65th minute of their 2-1 loss, he was replaced by Andre Silva; Portugal had already advanced to the second round.
Speaking about the incident, Santos said: “Have I seen the images? Yes, I didn’t like it, not at all. I didn’t like it. I really didn’t like it.
“But from that moment onwards everything is finished regarding that issue.
“These matters are resolved behind closed doors. It’s resolved.
“Full stop on this matter and now everyone is focused on tomorrow’s match.”
He then cast doubt on whether Ronaldo, who has started each of Portugal’s four games in Qatar, will lead the line in the last-16 tie, adding: “I only decide who is going to be captain when I reach the stadium.
“The other topic is solved. We have fixed that in-house and that’s it.”
