On the occasion of “Youm-e-Takreen Shuada-e-Pakistan,” General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), met with the school-age children of martyrs to pay tribute to the nation’s honorary martyrs. The function was held in Rawalpindi, the military general headquarters of Pakistan.
The general spoke to the students, telling them that because they were born to Pakistan’s martyrs, their relationship with the army was honorable and would endure. The COAS declared, “Pakistan Army will stand united with you.”
He also mentioned that on May 25th, the entire country will celebrate Youm-e-Takreen Shuhada-e-Pakistan in honor of the brave men and women who gave their lives to defend Pakistan.
Major army personnel, including Gen. Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, former COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa, Gen. Nadeem Raza, former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Babar Azam, families of martyrs, Mufti Muneeb, students, and law enforcement officers attended the event.
