In connection with an incident that occurred earlier this month while the officer was off duty, the Mobile Police Department has charged the officer with domestic violence.
According to a news release from the police, MPD officer Gavin Cotter, 25, was detained on Monday and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail early on Tuesday.
