A startled observer watched in horror as a BRIT fell to his death after slamming into rocks in a paragliding accident.
In Oludeniz, Turkey, on Tuesday, Frank Lally, 62, sadly perished when his lone paragliding attempt went horribly wrong.
He had launched himself from a well-known location on Babadag Mountain that was 6,234 feet above sea level.
However, the tourist’s jump was unsuccessful, and at about 2:00 p.m., he crashed into a rocky region below him.
Several stunned bystanders who saw the incident frantically called the emergency services.
The National Medical Rescue Team and the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue Battalion Command were sent to the area to aid with the difficult rescue.
Frank was immediately taken to Fethiye State Hospital in an ambulance after being carried onto a stretcher with significant injuries.
In horrifying photographs, the British man is seen being hoisted onto an ambulance as rescuers attempt to negotiate the difficult terrain.
However, the 62-year-old tragically died from his wounds.
An investigation has been started by Turkish officials to ascertain what caused the fatal tragedy.
The exact cause of Frank’s fatal paraglide is still unknown.
