Flying Cars in Dubai: Flying automobiles have been featured in movies for many years, and they have been written about for even longer.

Flying cars may be a reality by 2025, with people using them to navigate around various cities, including Dubai, one of the world’s most advanced and intelligent cities, if industry experts are to be believed.

More than 400 eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles) or flying car firms around the globe are attempting to improve the reliability and safety of their goods. And the majority of them think 2025 will usher in the era of flying cars.

“Many countries are pushing towards the 2025 launch of flying cars. We are also planning the commercial production of our two-seater model from 2025,” said Tomohiro Fukuzawa, chief executive officer of SkyDrive Inc.

At Gitex Global 2022, the Japanese flying car company will display a single-seater model. We’re visiting Gitex Global 2022 to look for possible partners or clients.

In Dubai on Monday, Chinese automaker XPeng successfully completed the first global public flight of its X2 flying automobile. The business is also working on a sixth-generation flying car that will be available for use on public roads.

Flying cars need three concurrent breakthroughs to come together, according to Dr. Brian Gu, vice-chairman and president of XPeng. “Technology, such as proving flying capabilities and safety, comes first. Next, rules are approved, and last, consumer acceptance. For any of these to materialise, they must all be in place.

“We want to start the process and make consumer products available that have the ability to drive and fly in 2025. It will take time to penetrate because people will slowly get confident,” he said during the media briefing on the sidelines of Gitex.

Dr. Gu anticipates that flying automobiles would travel at a height of about 100 metres or even less.

The global public test flight of Xpeng was made possible thanks in large part to the efforts of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

More X2 flying car tests will take place in Dubai, according to Omar Abdulaziz AlKhan, executive director for foreign offices at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, after which it will be made available for purchase.

AlKhan predicts that the flying car will go on sale around 2025.
