Five bodies have been discovered at the same South Carolina home.
Following allegations of a shooting on Sunday, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, police were called to the residence.
While receiving treatment for his injuries at the hospital, a fifth person passed away. Four bodies were discovered at the scene.
One victim was named by the Spartanburg County Sheriffs’ Office, but they chose not to make it public.
The five victims all had gunshot wounds, some of them many times, according to Rusty Clevenger, the Spartanburg County Coroner, who spoke with Go Upstate.
He said that each victim was located in a separate area of the home.
“Upon discovery, EMS responded and only one individual was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where they passed away while in surgery.
“The other four were deceased and remained on scene,” Clevenger said.
Clevenger added that his office is currently performing autopsies.
