In a social media video that has gone viral, an old woman is seen making fish soup without using a pan or pot. She is instead seen preparing food in a plastic bag. Yep, you heard correctly. She prepared dinner over a wood fire, and the way she cooked has left many internet users perplexed. The Figen’s Twitter account posted the footage.
A lady is seen in the video placing a plastic bag filled with water on top of a wood fire. You are mistaken if you assumed that the bag instantly melted. It had no reaction to the heat. She then begins incorporating various chemicals into the water. She also includes some seafood and hot peppers.
The caption of the video is, “An elementary physics.”

The video has received more than 3.3 million views, 13K likes and several reactions. The video left internet users with many unanswered questions. Others questioned if this was even feasible given that plastic melts when it comes in touch with heat, while some people claimed that cooking in plastic may cause cancer.
People Reactions:
Does that plastic bag contain bisphenol A (BPA)?

Please let me know if you ever get an answer to that.
I’d like to cover my Ledger with it.

Someone please tell me why that bag doesn't melt. I don't understand. 🤔

Similar in the way an igloo doesn’t melt even if there’s a fire inside for warmth. There the cold outside prevents the igloo from melting. Here the water inside prevents the plastic from reaching a high enough temperature to melt. The water would have to boil away entirely first.

I agree that what she's making is likely BPA Soup … BUT the technique is similar to sous vide where you heat vacuum sealed bags of food to certain temps to cook it perfectly every time. Although they use BPA-free bags at least!

Nothing happens to Plastic with water and fire underneath until a threshold temperature is reached
Once it begins to boil …the plastic will begin to sag at the hold just beneath the branch— Krish (@Jaykay2630) February 23, 2023

Although cooking using a plastic bag is something that rise concerns about micro plastics and cancer on the other hand the fishes that WE EAT consume micro plastics because the seas are full of plastics.
