At the FBR headquarters on Thursday, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Asim Ahmad introduced IRIS 2.0, an updated version of the tax filing system created by Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL).
IRIS 2.0, with its improved user experience, increased efficiency, and cost savings for the FBR, represents a significant turning point in tax administration. While innovative, IRIS 1.0 and its successor IRIS 1.1 encountered a number of issues that had an impact on their performance and user satisfaction, in addition to their expensive hardware requirements during peak loads.
IRIS 2.0 has undergone a significant transformation in order to address these issues head-on, with a focus on strong backend improvements and an intuitive front-end design, ensuring a seamless experience for both users and the FBR.
The FBR will improve its tax filing procedures for achieving greater efficiency and significantly lower hardware costs by upgrading to IRIS 2.0. IRIS 2.0 will become a valuable asset for the FBR as a result of the increased user satisfaction brought about by the improved user experience. The FBR and PRAL’s commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technology for enhanced service delivery and increased efficiency is exemplified by IRIS 2.0.
