A mobile app has been released by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to help overseas tourists with currency declaration.

The smartphone app “Pass Track” has been changed to assist travellers, according to FBR Member Customs (Operations) Mukarram Jan Ansari, who spoke at the program’s debut event held at the FBR House.

He emphasised that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had updated the cash carrying restrictions for travellers leaving the country. As a result, the amended cash-carrying limitations have been announced by FBR via SRO 2201(I)/2022, dated 12-12-2022. Pakistan Customs has worked with the National Information Technology Board (NITB) to create a web-based mobile app that will allow travellers travelling internationally to submit their declarations more easily.

Ansari claimed that the software will make it easier for travellers to disclose their money before even arriving at the airport for flights to or from Pakistan. The app has undergone thorough testing, and numerous new features have been included to make it simple for users to enter all the necessary data.

You may get the app from the Play Store and the App Store. The App also has a web version that is accessible. Additionally, it is reachable from everywhere in the world. The App makes it simpler for travellers to submit declarations by giving them step-by-step instructions.

He claimed that anyone may download the app and register using their mobile number, and the declaration form is available in both Urdu and English. Once the passenger has entered personal information, the system will automatically fill up the form upon logging in on subsequent visits.
