The deadline for filing individual and business income tax returns was extended by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday until October 31.

He disclosed during the press conference that the tax collection agency received Rs685 billion in tax returns in September.
Additionally, it was discovered that the FBR collected Rs1,609 billion in the first quarter (July to September) of the fiscal year 2022–23, which is higher than the intended sum. Refunds totaling Rs84 billion have thus far been given out.
