Facebook Stars, Meta’s newest monetization tool, has been made available to Pakistan’s qualifying creators to help them connect with their audiences and grow their businesses.
According to a statement from the multinational internet company, Facebook Stars will enable fans to mail and purchase digital items to assist producers, check the income by type of content produced by Pakistani content providers, manage their goals, and access other Stars settings.
Facebook Reels, Facebook Live, on-demand videos, photographs, and text postings all support the feature.
“Helping creators to build community and turn their passions into professions is a key part of our continued investment in Pakistan. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Facebook Stars is open to all eligible creators in Pakistan, so more people can start earning while they grow their creativity, audience and careers,” said Meta’s Director of Emerging Markets for the Asia Pacific region Jordi Fornies.
Reels, Meta’s short-form videos that resemble TikTok, were just this year brought to Pakistan. Reels quickly rose to the top of the list of Meta platforms’ fastest-growing content types. Every day, Reels are played on Facebook and Instagram in excess of 140 billion times.
When he visited the Meta regional office in Singapore today, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that “We are encouraged by Meta’s role in promoting small businesses in Pakistan and providing new opportunities for local content producers to make a real, consistent living off of their platforms. We anticipate that the Stars programme will expand revenue potential and contribute to the development of the nation’s digital economy.”
Facebook Stars will be available for all content creators with at least 1,000 followers online through the last 60 days.
“So wonderful to see Stars has launched in Pakistan, giving more creators like me on Facebook and Reels the opportunity to build community and earn money through doing what we love,” content creator, Danish Ali commented.
“I’m excited for creators in Pakistan to start using Stars to generate an income and build deeper connections with their audiences as they grow on Facebook.”
