In a “unhealthy” connection, a FEMALE teacher had multiple vehicle sex dates with a “vulnerable” 14-year-old student, the court heard.
Ellie Pattison, 29, a secondary school teacher, is said to have made friends with the schoolgirl.
She was led to feel that she had fallen “in love” by the teacher.
According to Hove Crown Court, Pattison had sex with the student twice—once in her car and once at each of her friends’ houses.
After they started meeting outside her school, she is also accused of kissing and touching the teenager numerous times.
Sarah Lindop, prosecuting, said: “She abused her position of trust but also made the complainant, who was a vulnerable child, believe it was a real relationship and that she loved her.”
Pattison was in a relationship and 23 years old when the alleged offenses occurred. She was employed as a teaching assistant in East Sussex.
The jury was informed that she was also in charge of caring for youngsters who were in foster care while attending the high school.
It was said that the two grew close and that Pattison had a “inappropriate relationship” with her.
They even installed cameras in their bedrooms to allow them to view one other at night, according to information provided to the court about their private messaging exchanges.
In a police interview played to jurors, the girl said: “She told me she had fallen for me and she was in love with me.”
The teen added: “We were sitting there and I got even more f***ed and she kissed me again and the second time I kissed her back and from that point we started trying to get together.”
She claimed that after avoiding her for a few days, she got wasted before Pattison picked her up in her silver Peugeot and attempted to kiss her when they decided to meet to sort things out.
Breaking down in tears, she continued: “I didn’t really have any feeling for her like that before.”
Branding Pattison a “d***h***”, she accused the teacher of making her thinking something “that wasn’t even real”.
She added: “It’s f****d me up so bad that I can’t even have a relationship with anyone anymore.
“Every time I see a silver Peugeot I’m looking to see if it is her.”
The alleged abuse came to light when a friend of the girl saw the pair kissing in the car and raised the alarm.
When bosses at the school discovered Pattison had been meeting the vulnerable girl, she was suspended.
Her partner then reported the “inappropriate relationship” to police when she also found out.
Pattison was arrested by officers and admitted to being close to the teenager but denied anything sexual had ever taken place.
She told officers: “No nothing like this ever happened.”
Pattison denies three counts of penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between the age of 13 and 15.
In addition, she entered a not guilty plea to two additional counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual relations with the youngster in different settings.
The trial goes on.
