Eliza Fletcher was shot to death, according to an autopsy that was just made public.
After being shot in the head, Fletcher’s cause of death was determined by autopsy to be homicide.
After going missing for several days, Fletcher was discovered deceased on September 5. When her body was discovered, it had already begun to decompose.
She suffered blunt force injuries to her right leg, according to the report.
According to the toxicology, fentanyl was also found in Fletcher’s system. One reading shows a concentration of 10 ng/mL found in her body. Some academic studies show as little as 5 ng/mL can be fatal.
Police searched the streets for Eliza, a rich heiress to a hardware empire, for four days after her kidnapping.
On the evening of September 5, her body was discovered in a deserted duplex unit.
After being detained, 38-year-old suspect Cleotha Abston was charged with first-degree murder in relation to the abduction and death of Eliza.
Eliza had blunt force trauma to her right leg, according to the autopsy.
Her system also contained Fentanyl, according to a toxicology report.
On September 2, terrifying security video showed Eliza exercising just before being hustled into a dark SUV close to the University of Memphis in Tennessee.
After a brief fight, someone, said to be Abston, is seen shoving her into the car at roughly 4:30 in the morning.
Eliza was known to frequently run the same path.
