According to police, a Tennessee school teacher who was violently taken during a Friday morning jog is still missing.
At 4:30 in the morning, Eliza Fletcher, 34, was running on Central Avenue in Memphis. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation claimed in a statement that woman was coerced into a dark-colored SUV.
At the time, Fletcher was clad in a pink jogging shirt and purple running shorts, according to the police. She weighs 137 pounds and is 5’6″, and she has brown hair and green eyes.
Although they claimed to lack information about its direction of travel, police did release a grainy image of an SUV sought in the kidnapping.
According to Memphis television station WREG, Fletcher’s phone was discovered in the area abandoned.
Hart Robinson, a friend of Fletcher’s, told the station, “We don’t know what’s going on, but everybody is anxiously looking for her and the police here are on it.” “As you can see, there is a lot of activity, so we just ask that you come forward if you know anything or saw anything early this morning.”
