The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a reduction in power pricing for K-Electric customers in the amount of Rs4.11 per unit for the month of September.
A statement states that the decrease in price was made under the heading of fuel adjustment costs, and customers of K-Electric will receive relief of Rs4.11 per unit in September.
However, the alleviation won’t be available to the power utility’s lifeline customers.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) increased the cost of electricity by Rs11.10 per unit for K-Electric customers on August 11.
The hike will not apply to lifeline customers as the sanction was issued in terms of fuel adjustment prices for June 2022. The statement stated that the most recent increase would be included in the invoices for August and September 2022.
“(The FCA) shall be shown separately in the consumers’ bills on the basis of units billed to the consumers in the respective month to which the adjustment pertains,” said Nepra.
