In honour of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), which falls on October 9, the Sindh home department has announced a restriction on pillion riding on the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
On October 8 and 9, in honour of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), it would be prohibited throughout Sindh. The prohibition was announced by the home department in various Sindh districts as well as in Karachi, the provincial capital.
In Karachi’s Central, West, East, and South districts, pillion riding would be prohibited. Pillion riding will be prohibited in the central district on the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, in the west district on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, in the east district on the 8th, 11th, and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, and in the south district on the 8th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
On the eighth and twelfth days of Rabi-ul-Awwal, it will be prohibited in Hyderabad; on the eleventh and twelfth days in Sukkur; on the eighth and twelfth days in Khairpur; and on the twelfth day in Ghotki, Sanghar, Larkana, Rato Dero, Bakrani, Dokri, Nawabshah, Jacobabad, Thal, Garhi Khairo, Kan
Women, children, older individuals, journalists, and members of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are exempt from the prohibition.
