Due to the current state of the nation’s law and order, all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, in Rawalpindi would be closed for two days (8 and 9 August 2022).
Captain (R) Muhammad Anwar ul Haq, Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi, made the announcement on social media and uploaded the official notification.
“Due to prevailing law and order situation of the country, the competent authority has decided that all Educational Institutions (Government as well as private) situated within Tehsil Rawalpindi only shall remain closed for 2 days (08-11-2022 & 09-11-2022).” said the notification.

It should be emphasised that only within the Rawalpindi Tehsil shall educational institutions (schools, colleges, and universities) be closed for two days.
It is important to note that several protests are occurring all over the nation as a result of the shooting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and Former Prime Minister Imran Khan during the Haqeeqi Azadi Long March in Wazirabad.
