ED Winter, the coroner for celebrities such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and Brittany Murphy, has died at the age of 73.
Winter was the Deputy Los Angeles County Coroner and was in charge of some of the most high-profile celebrity death investigations.
According to law enforcement sources, he died of natural causes at his Los Angeles home on Friday.
Winter’s high-profile cases included Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Brittany Murphy, Paul Walker, Tom Petty, and Corey Haim’s deaths.
Michael Jackson died in June 2009 from a lethal combination of sedative prescription drugs.
Winter recalled being concerned after discovering injection points on Jackson’s body, according to the outlet.
According to the coroner, Jackson had enough Propofol, a powerful surgical anaesthetic, in his system to “put down a rhinoceros or an elephant.”
Dr. Conard Murray, who would have signed Jackson’s death certificate, “fled” the hospital after the star was pronounced dead, according to Winter.
Winter also took note of Jackson’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, who allegedly administered massive doses of Demerol to the star almost every day, according to TMZ.
According to the outlet, the late coroner eventually discovered that Jackson used 19 different aliases to obtain drugs and that Klein was allegedly one of the main enablers.
Klein, on the other hand, was not charged with any crimes in connection with Jackson’s death.
Murray, on the other hand, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after accidentally overdosing Jackson with Propofol.
Years after the death of the King of Pop, Whitney Houston was discovered dead in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel in February 2012.
Houston’s family gathered near the death scene after her body was discovered.
Winter was introduced to Dionne Warwick, Houston’s cousin, who said, “I know who Ed Winter is.”
The late coroner was well-known for his television appearances during high-profile cases.
Klein, on the other hand, was cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with Jackson’s death.
Murray, on the other hand, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after overdosing Jackson with Propofol by accident.
