Two projects aimed at protecting the Indus Delta Mangroves have received approval from the ECC (Economic Coordination Committee). The Ministry of Climate Change predicts that these initiatives will bring in $220 million in profits by 2043.
The ECC also approved Rs 20 billion during the meeting for legislatively suggested development plans. In addition, a grant worth Rs 4 billion was approved to pay the Defence Ministry’s expenses.
A technical supplementary grant of Rs10.5 billion for the Ministry of Health was one of the ten items on the original agenda for the ECC meeting. The meeting’s other objectives included reviewing the nation’s urea fertilizer usage and determining the selling price for wheat stored by PASSCO (Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation).
Additionally, a technical supplementary grant for the Ministry of Climate Change is likely to be approved, and a payment system for paying back dues to Uch Power Limited may also be.
The president’s secretariat is anticipated to receive a grant of Rs25 million, which will be used for employee salaries and pensions. A technical supplementary grant of Rs497.2 million for the Ministry of Housing and an additional grant of Rs803 million for the Intelligence Bureau are both possibilities.
A summary requesting more money for the Ministry of Information is also likely to be approved.
