The number of criminal reports received by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Dubai Police decreased by 63.2% in 2022 compared to 2021. Lt Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, attributed the dramatic drop to creative security measures implemented throughout the city.
In front of senior departmental officers, Lt. Al Marri made these remarks during an annual inspection visit to the CID.
The Crime Prevention Department of Dubai briefed the Commander-in-Chief and revealed that it had apprehended roughly 422 wanted criminals last year in addition to informing him of many ongoing security initiatives.
