Dubai drivers can now easily access their driving licenses with a few mouse clicks. Residents were recently reminded by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) about the ability to add their licenses to Apple wallets. The need to carry physical cards is gone thanks to this new feature.

However, a lot of people in Dubai already keep digital backups of their driving licenses in their files or upload photos of them to their smartphones. But adding the digital card to the iPhone wallet makes the procedure even simpler. Users can open the E-wallet and see their license and other cards right away by simply double-clicking the side button on their iPhones. A digital copy of the card is accessible by selecting the “My License” tab.

Adding the license to the Apple Wallet is a simple process. Below the license, users will notice a clearly labeled button that says “Add to Apple Wallet.” The license is transferred to the E-wallet with a single click, ensuring quick and easy access whenever needed.

Furthermore, Apple users can add their vehicle licenses to the Apple Wallet, expanding the feature’s functionality. It should be noted that this option is currently only available to Apple users.

This new digital license feature gives Dubai drivers peace of mind because they no longer have to worry about forgetting or misplacing their physical cards. The ease of having licenses readily available on their smartphones alleviates the burden of carrying extra documents.

By adopting technological innovations like the integration with Apple Wallet, Dubai’s RTA continues to innovate and improve the overall experience for residents. These developments streamline routine tasks and increase their effectiveness, enhancing Dubai residents’ quality of life even more.
